2. The police sirens and helicopters - don't panic, they sound close, but are for the sinners on the other side of the moat in Whangaparaoa Peninsular

3. The Stillwater Residents Facebook page - just don't

4. No noticeboard in your town? Well we have TWO. So there.

5. Nope. There are no shops. Period. Stop asking how we cope.

6. BUT - there is a pub disguised as a boat club

7. AND - a community hall for abstinent quilt makers
