Witnesses Series 2 - French police drama

The French police on TV seem very good at breaking all the rules and this series is no different. Good story line and female cast which includes that lovely redhead Audrey Fleurot from Spiral. Worth a watch. 4 stars

Bancroft - 4 part mini series UK police drama

Crooked cop identitiy exposed almost at the start so none of this guessing who it is up until the end. A bit far fetched and flawed but entertaining. 3 stars

Acceptable Risk - UK/Irish thriller

Not a bad watch with Elaine Cassidy from No Offence as lead female. A few twists. 4 stars

Dark - German sci fi thriller

Very binge-watchable with an original story line that got very intense around ep 6 onwards. 4 stars

Jordskott - Swedish police supernatural thriller

Another series with an original but watchable storyline, Great characters. Series 2 not quite as good as S01. 4 stars

The Frozen Dead - French thriller

Thriller in an alpine town, great scenery, good story line. Very watchable. 3.5 stars

Mindhunter - USA thriller

I read the book several times a long time ago. Based on the FBI's establishment of criminal profiling and coining of the phrase 'serial killer'. The cast grew on me. 4 stars

The End of the Fucking World - UK black comedy

Loved the story line, black humour and cast, 4 stars

Vanished by the Lake - French thriller

A sort of French Broadchurch, characters not quite as strong though. 3.5 stars

Valkyrien - Norwegian thriller

I found this a bit of a struggle to watch although it did win a few awards. 2.5 stars

The Tunnel - French/UK

The French/UK retelling of The Bridge. The Bridge has to be one of my all time faves so The Tunnel had a lot to live up to. And no-one can outdo Saga or Martin imo. It was ok with slightly different storylines (I watched S01 & 02) but struggled to get too engaged, maybe because I'm distracted due to the imminent last season of The Bridge (yuss!) 3.5 stars
